- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 300 ml non-alcoholic barley syrup
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 chopped tomato
- 0.25 cup tomato paste
- 0.25 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups boiling water
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 10 baby potatoes, chopped
- 2 cups baby carrots
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms, halved
- 1 onion, chopped
- Pinch of sugar
- 1 tablespoon mixed spices
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon crushed chili
- 2 bay leaves
